ABOUT THE EVENT
In addition to our hospital program, Rubber Chicken Club offers outpatient services in and around adjoining hospitals, engaging with patients and families in clinical settings. This work is often done in tandem with our hospital program, but can also function as a standalone experience depending on the needs of the host clinic, program, or community.
Like our hospital work, our two-person teams move through waiting areas and shared spaces, using conversation, humor, and performance to engage patients and families in meaningful ways. Whether through music, games, or simple interaction, our performers help create moments of connection, ease waiting times, and bring a sense of normalcy to the clinical experience.
By filling the natural gaps between appointments and care, Rubber Chicken Club supports both patients and staff—helping create a more welcoming, human-centered environment throughout the outpatient setting.
